Composition of the material

Our barefoot shoes are currently made from synthetic fibers, specifically 92% polyester and 8% elastane. The soles of our Pelanu shoes are made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Unfortunately, these natural materials don't yet meet our standards for fit and comfort. However, we are constantly working on new alternatives.

CAUTION!
This style has a thinner upper for seamless use in and around water, providing the most natural barefoot feel imaginable. The shoes also contain holes in the sole to allow for good air circulation. Barefoot shoes are therefore waterproof, but not water-resistant.

Cleaning instructions
The shoes can be machine washed at 40 degrees Celsius. Then simply let them air dry; this is faster and protects the sole.
